About the Workplace

The Social Administration in Öckerö Municipality is an engaged and forward-looking administration. We believe in continuous development and innovation to meet the challenges in our municipality. Our mission is to create a sustainable and efficient operation that meets the needs of society and individuals with a focus on preventive work.

Within the area of Authority and Welfare, there are, in addition to the social office, two operational units; the Support and Treatment Unit and the Support and Employment Unit. Together, they are responsible for family counseling, drug prevention work, preventive social work, municipal outpatient care for children, youth, adults, and families, social psychiatry, as well as labor market and establishment. The employees have extensive experience and great competence in their respective professional areas.

The position is formally placed in the Support and Treatment Unit but works closely with the unit managers of both operational units.

About the Assignment

The social services are undergoing a comprehensive transformation due to our new social services law. As part of this development work, we are now strengthening our operations by appointing a method supervisor who wants to be part of our team, with engaged colleagues and present managers. An opportunity to be part of Öckerö Municipality's development journey towards a more accessible social service with evidence-based methods and high quality. In the spring, there will be a particular focus on building a joint reception function that will serve as a consolidated entry point to both first and second-line social services.

The position of method supervisor is directed towards the resource and treatment team as well as the housing supporters. Together, they receive assignments for assistance from the social office and carry out interventions without prior needs assessment. The combined support of the groups is directed towards families with children and youth, support for relatives, support in cases of domestic violence, mental disabilities, as well as risk use, harmful use, and addiction. Group activities with various themes are also offered.

As a method supervisor with us, you will be a professional and accessible support for employees – both in everyday situations and in more complex issues. You will play an important role in ensuring that our assignments are distributed and executed in a way that contributes to quality and legal certainty for our clients. You will support a good introduction for new employees.

You will provide method support both individually and in groups and actively contribute to developing documentation, structure, and working methods. Method supervision often occurs cross-professionally, together with the chief social worker of the social office. Signs of Safety and network and safety work are foundational to this collaboration. Maintaining and further developing cooperation, both internally and externally, is an important task for the method supervisor.

You will work closely with both workgroups and unit managers on issues related to development, follow-up, and evaluation. Developing our early and preventive interventions while ensuring the quality of our assistance measures will be central to your role.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for someone who:

Is a social worker or has another higher education that the employer deems equivalent
Has several years of broad experience in social services outpatient care
Has further education in conversation treatment such as step 1 or equivalent

Experience in management and/or method supervision is meritorious. We also welcome candidates who have worked with authority exercise within social services.

As a person, you are secure in your professional role with a good pedagogical ability to support colleagues in prioritizing, reflecting, and developing. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You have a high degree of professionalism but also value humility. We are looking for someone with a good ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties.
